Lonnie Wyzard, Jr. joined Dean Realty Co. in June of 2010 as a member of the company's field services group, serving as a construction/maintenance technician. In September of 2016, he was promoted to head the company's construction department as project manager. In this position, Lonnie is responsible for tasks that include bid processes, scheduling, securing contractors, quality control and monitoring project budgets. He further oversees completion of various tenant and company projects that include new construction, remodels, repairs and enhancements. Lonnie manages the project supervisor, a position he formerly held from 2013 to 2016, as well as the AutoCAD department.
Lonnie has significant experience in the construction trade that includes seven years in superintendent positions with two contracting companies. At Merit General Contractors he was responsible for overseeing scheduling, budgets and quality control for the company's commercial construction activities. While there he supervised subcontractor and labor crews exceeding 100 people. Prior to Merit, he was partner and general superintendent for Story Contracting for five years. There he managed field superintendents and worked in sales, estimating and quality control for commercial construction projects. He is experienced at jobs ranging from $100,000 to in excess of $2,500,000 dollars.
Lonnie's education includes two years of auto mechanics training at Lex-La-Ray Vocational School. He holds a Class B contractor's license and attends yearly continuing education classes. Lonnie has received OSHA training, receiving an equipment certification. He is further increasing his skills through Excel and CAD training.
Lonnie enjoys experimenting with electric vehicle conversions and alternative residential power sources.
